Some material on ebola (university studies) have said that during certain phases of the ebola transmittable period (symptomatic), those ill with ebola may have NO FEVER present for a time period.

Yeah, just caught your post...

I don’t know too much of the specifics of that, but it could be due to the fact that Ebola tricks a persons immune system by using (hope I spell this right) it’s Cytokines (which are produced to attack ebola) against the host.

It’s not exactly like the cytokine storm, which the 1918 flu used to kill it’s hosts, it’s actually more devious where the immune system actually helps the virus break through the blood vessel walls so that it can invade the bodies tissues which was the goal. Once that is done, the host will start shedding virus because it’s no longer contained in the circulatory system.

While it is doing this it invades another cell of the immune system that apparently negates the production of cytokines so that the virus is not attacked and perhaps this is why the fever reduces for a time, or until death.

I find it interesting that we don’t yet know why many people survive...exactly..

I think it must have something to do with their immune responses. perhaps the virus just can control it like it wants to.

Anyway, I am fascinated by it,, I guess I don’t have enough to do,,these days. (retired)

But it’s amazing how this virus works,,
