I don't care who is actually behind this - whether the Russian government, the Chinese - whoever. But if I were the President, this would have been stopped years ago as a top priority. A classic CIA operation inside Russia: shut down everything and everything that is associated with internet hacking.

This is being done on a wide scale and nobody seems to care. If anything can destroy our financial markets quickly, this is it. Yes - our own users of technology have been far too slow to respond themselves, but the notion that people are sitting around the goals of thievery, malice, disruption, and chaos as their chief goals is a threat to our entire system. We should have taken action years ago (Bush years).

It shows how vulnerable we are to such attacks. For the Russian govt to be named as being behind this there has to be more known about who and how this happened.
