Every time I see the word “Liberian” my bosses face appears in my head and she is saying “liberry” instead of “library.” I teach 5th grade math and science. My boss is the principal. I cannot tell you how many questions I have been “axed”, or how many staff meetings in the “liberry” that we have had. What is really sad is when she gets on the intercom to do campus all calls in her ebonic dialect. She actually believes that it makes her sound more authoritative.
OMG
Heh, I feel your pain.
I was in a credential program at Regent university in Va Beach, VA wanting to get certified even though I had taught privately for four years. We had an on line course and the topic of discussion was Ebonics. I expressed my opinion that teaching Ebonics did no good for anyone and was promptly called a “racist”. I sent the whole rant to Pat Robertson himself as well as the entire department of education. I get a phone call from the dean who proceeds to call me out for “not following protocol”. I wasn’t allowed to find out what steps were taken against the accuser due to her “right to privacy”. So even a “Christian university” is PC and rolls for the libtards.
I never went back to teaching...
Affirmative action is survival of the un-fittest.
We have people like that in our district. They love to hear themselves talk.
At least one robocall a night from Dr(don’t you forget it)Superintendent of Schools.
makes her sound more authoritative
I find it funny (and irritating) when they use big words that they aren’t sure of the meaning and can’t pronounce them properly.
