This is big. Hwang Pyong-so is regime's current No. 2 man, while Choe is reportedly no longer No. 2 but used to be until recently. Kim Yang-gon is the head of division overseeing all inter-Korean affairs.

This visit may have not been planned in advance. This is a highly unusual development. Something is really up in N. Korea.

If and when the Korean states peacefully reunify, the culture shock and contrast is going to be several orders of magnitude greater compared to when West and East Germany reunited.

Seoul must be like a city from 500 years in the future compared to Pyongyang. Like bringing Genghis Khan into The Jetsons. They won't even know what the hell they're looking at.

And Japan would be like 1000 years into the future. Maybe more.

South Koreans could probably pay pocket money to North Koreans to lay down on their backs while the South Koreans drive golf balls off of their puckered lips ...and the North Koreans would think they've hit the gravy train.

The South Korean Christian community will really be earning their stripes caring for the exodus of Northern refugees, believe me.

There’s been several stories today out of the British press saying that Pyongyang has been locked down for anybody to leave and that the Dear Fatso hasn’t been public for the last few weeks.

Imho nothing is “really up in N.Korea”. This is business as usual.

It will only be big or “really up” when the people of NK are freed of their cradle to coffin state indoctrination and brainwashing.

Omg i’m hoping you have seen some of those covert films of people who are resisting in NK on yt because it’s heartbreaking. You can also see the documentaries on people
eating tree bark and grass.

Junior isn’t appearing ?, big effin’ deal. we shouldn’t hold our breath just because JUNIOR LIKES SWISS CHEESE and has reported “gout” or “broken both ankles” because he’s gotten so fat from his beloved SWISS CHEESE.

This re-organization within the regime is simply a signal to the global community at large that “everything is ok” when it’s really not and it’s all a propaganda effort from who knows where on whatever side. This is why I don’t believe such stuff like this

NK’s regime payola is from meth production and all the other accoutrements OTHER than meth, including porn & pill sales and heroin, and paid hacking, etc.

They ship this stuff World Wide. It may not come directly to the US but there’s a hella’ lotta’ Asia to conquer .

When Hwang Pyong-so arrived at Incheon Airport on October 4, he was accompanied by bodyguards wearing earpieces for communications with each other. Strange and unfamiliar as it may sound for outside observers, Hwang committed an act that is in fundamental violation of North Korea’s power principle: the absolute authority of the Supreme Leader.

In North Korea, where configurations of power have been upheld on the basis of the Supreme Leader’s absolute authority, it is strictly forbidden for there to be a “second or third most powerful person”. No official other than the Supreme Leader has the right to visible protection.

That Hwang Pyong-so appeared in Incheon Airport accompanied by bodyguards – and not in military uniform either – is a clear surface confirmation that the “Supreme Leader’s absolute authority” no longer serves, in practice, as the unchallengeable pivot for North Korea’s elite power holders. A transformed psychology of power among the core elite in the OGD and beyond have been entrenched to the extent that the Supreme Leader’s exclusive right to public protections can be called on with impunity.

Earlier this year, New Focus reported that the core members of the OGD moved out of Changgwang-dong, where many Central Party cadres are concentrated, and moved into a special zone in the security jurisdiction of the Guards Command.

If something really were up, wouldn't these heavy-hitters stay home to organize their factions to do battle?

Unification Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae is expected to hold talks with the North Korean officials after their arrival.

Unifying Germany..as incredibly difficult and expensive as it was...will look like child's play compared to unifying Korea.
