The origin of the Aids pandemic has been traced to the 1920s in the city of Kinshasa, in what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo, scientists say.
An international team of scientists say a "perfect storm" of population growth, sex and railways allowed HIV to spread.
A feat of viral archaeology was used to find the pandemic's origin, the team report in the journal Science.
They used archived samples of HIV's genetic code to trace its source, with evidence pointing to 1920s Kinshasa.
Their report says a roaring sex trade, rapid population growth and unsterilised needles used in health clinics probably spread the virus.
Meanwhile Belgium-backed railways had one million people flowing through the city each year, taking the virus to neighbouring regions.
Experts said it was a fascinating insight into the start of the pandemic.
HIV came to global attention in the 1980s and has infected nearly 75 million people.
It has a much longer history in Africa, but where the pandemic started has remained the source of considerable debate...
HIV is a mutated version of a chimpanzee virus, known as simian immunodeficiency virus, which probably made the species-jump through contact with infected blood while handling bush meat.

Its because they don’t want people to think of AIDS as a homosexual disease.
Does that really matter?
It’s still one of many that is basically a sexual disease, and what kind doesn’t really matter. If it took 50 years to become mainly homosexual (or “innovate” to massive proportions thanks to them), what does that tell you? That it isn’t just homo, but it does prosper in that environment.
The interior of the Congo is heavily into the bush meat trade to this day. As the riverboats go up river, that is the main trade good that the natives in the jungle offer to trade the people on the passing boats.
Umm, because male homosexuals engage in anal sex, and that is one of the easiest ways to transmit the virus.

IMO, referring to it as a “Gay disease” is just stupid. It’s an STD, as any other. It spreads via sexual contact(or other bodily fluid exchanges). Heterosexuals can get it from one another just as easily as Homos can.
It HAS to be one of the easiest diseases to NOT get though. Simply don’t expose yourself to it. You, and your significant other needs to stay monogamous. Don’t bed down with half the town. If you use IV drugs, don’t use ‘dirty’ needles. When my wife got into healthcare, she started in the OBGYN unit at a hospital, where they screen all women having babies for STDs. She said it was SHOCKING how many women had STDs, and we’re in a rural area. She said that the average across all age groups was easily 25%.(even higher among younger folks) She said that if I ever died, there’s no way she would sleep with anyone else, because it’s THAT bad.
Because biologically that's the best and thus the primary means of transmission. I don't see a contradiction between the origin as postulated here and the fact that the disease is spread mostly by the male homosexual population here in the west.
We don't have hospitals and clinics using dirty needles and such. For the time being we have largely eliminated the problem with the blood supply. Although the gay left lobby is getting closer to undoing that. Which is horrendously criminal.
It's AS 'easily' gotten from a women's 'parts' too. If someone doesn't know any better, the ignorance you're spreading here could be POTENTIALLY dangerous, if someone gets the impression that ass pirates can more easily get AIDS. If you are a guy, you are no safer having intercourse with a woman that has AIDS than you are another guy with AIDS. LOL
What made it spread so well within the homosexual population is they tend to have multiple partners, and they likely don't use any sort of barrier methods of "protection".

You should see the contradiction. Hypodermic needles have to come into contact with carriers to become “dirty” in this fashion, after all, which requires them to be in contact with gay males. And female-male transmission via vaginal sex is still difficult.

I may stand corrected then.
Perhaps there is something about Anal Sex that makes it a more favorable route of transmission for that disease. (not to mention all of the other bacteria and bad stuff you can get from that area). Since that’s the predominant way that sodomites have sex, I suppose that WOULD make them more susceptible.
