To: SeekAndFind
For Democrats to have even the slightest chance of election means that this country is headed for disaster.

Barone continues to ignore the impact of the changing demographics of this country fueled by immigration and minority birthrates. He uses old models of immigration and past elections. I confronted him on this at a CATO presentation several years ago. He basically responded that the GOP must "adapt" or die.
There will be no wave. The Reps will be fortunate to hold on to the House. Taking the Senate is a 50/50 proposition. You don't remove incumbents easily, especially senators.

CAVEAT: MICHAEL BARONE WAS DEAD WRONG ABOUT THE ELECTION RESULTS IN 2012
Didn't he call for a potential Romney landslide? Or was that Dick Morris? Or both?

Have the Democrats paid Barone to pitch this forecast so GOP voters don’t bother to vote because “the election is in the bag?”

Barone is just recycling his commentaries from 2012 when he predicted a massive Republican win for both the Senate and the presidency.

The GOP still has time to pull defeat out of the jaws of victory for 2014.

Exactly. And the more of these kinds of articles the low information types see, the worse the voter fraud is going to be.

Psephology /sɨˈfɒlədʒi/ (from Greek psephos ψῆφος, 'pebble', which the Greeks used as ballots) is a branch of political science which deals with the study and scientific analysis of elections. Psephology uses historical precinct voting data, public opinion polls, campaign finance information and similar statistical data.

The problem Barone and the GOP-e have is the attitude that the conservatives/Tea Party will vote GOP because they have no where else to go. I wonder what Mitt Romney thinks about that.
To: SeekAndFind
I am not seeing a wave that Barone is seeing, but rather an advantage. I however am concerned that even if the GOP does well, too many candidates will take away the wrong message from the election.

Conventional polling cannot account for the modern democrat fraud machine. It’s pretty clear it leans heavily on early voting, extended voting and same day registration since all are touchstones of claims of racism whenever efforts are made to reign in the practices.
