Karl Rove Leaves Illegal Immigration out of GOP Senate Victory Plan

GOP establishment strategist and talking head Karl Rove conspicuously omitted illegal immigration in his advice to GOP Senate candidates on how to close the sale to voters in this year's midterm elections.

In a column in the Wall Street Journal, Rove urges Senate candidates to talk about "pro-growth policies like tax reform and regulatory relief, spending restraint to reduce the debt, health-care reforms to replace ObamaCare and energy policies like the Keystone XL pipeline" in addition to national defense.

Republican Senate candidates like Scott Brown in New Hampshire and Tom Cotton in Arkansas started to surge after they made illegal immigration a campaign issue. Democrats like Sens. Kay Hagan (D-NC) and Mary Landrieu (D-LA) begged President Barack Obama to delay his executive amnesty because it was so unpopular with voters.

A Gallup poll has found that illegal immigration is the top priority among Republicans. More Democrats are upset that the party is moving too quickly in trying to grant amnesty than are not and a majority of Democrats think illegal immigrant juveniles who have flooded across the border should not be eligible for taxpayer-funded government benefits. In a recent speech to the Congressional Black Caucus dinner, Obama made no mention of amnesty legislation, perhaps acknowledging that black voters are opposed to massive amnesty programs that would lower their wages and take away their jobs.

Rove, who declared war on the Tea Party along with the pro-amnesty Chamber of Commerce and vowed to field candidates to defeat conservatives, recently whined that his establishment-approved candidates are struggling in races they should be leading and not raising enough money because voters are not enthusiastic about their tame, moderate candidacies.

Gopes would rather lose seats than support conservative or pro American issues other than a strong military. The weak economy that has to result from their policies which are not terribly different from Democrat policies would make that strong military harder and harder to maintain and the rest of the country would be starved more and more so long as the military is kept strong without a real free market economy to support it. The Russians found that out when their treasure stolen from Eastern Europe finally ran out in the 80s.

It’s such a trivial issue - one that almost no one is thinking or talking about.

Maybe he just forgot...

The GOPe won’t talk about amnesty now, but they’ll bring it up first thing after the election. Since 2001, while our country has been on a downhill slide, and with so many policies to fix, the GOPe has pushed amnesty harder than any other issue.

Sorry, Rove is a loser 80% of the candidates he backed in the last election lost to Democrats. He is not a credible source.

$10 bucks says ANY Republican candidate that tells Rove to drop dead and Gets out and DEMANDS DEPORTATION for All The Illegal Aliens in the USA, would WIN IN A LANDSLIDE. Throw in Abolition of the IRS and it would not even be a contest.

I can not think of any other person who has done greater harm to Conservatism in the GOP than self anointed Karl Rove. His media sources being deemed the so called voice of the GOP is one reason I refuse to watch TV News especially FOX NEWS that uses Rove and McCain day after day and representing the views of the party. Karl Rove disgust me. His politics disgust me as does the ones he takes money from for his agenda.

BTW anyone know what time Porky Pig come on next? Ah I found it noon on Boomerang. Now what made me suddenly think of watching Porky The Pig? LOL An ideal Youtube Parody Video IMO? Rove on FOX NEWS with Porky's voice dubbed in over his. LOL
