It can be both. Depends on where you grew up.

Why did you live with a tribe of hunter gatherers in Uganda?

Back in 1984 we were working to begin the process of translating the Bible into their language. Neither my wife nor I are translators. We simply asked questions through a translator and either recorded or transcribed the results. Bible translators in California began developing an alphabet and the translation. Later Ugandan Christians and members of the tribe joined the work. An American couple, Bible translators, have been living with the tribe for more than a decade and are completing this work.

Our minor part was to take notes, record tapes, put in a few wells and try to introduce technology appropriate to their situation and resources.

At that time they had nothing of the Bible translated into their language and no written language. They did not use the plow, the wheel, make rope or bake bread. They did make beer, if the harvest was sufficient. They also managed to stay alive caught between two much, much larger tribes who raided and stole all of the cattle and goats (if not hidden in the rocks). Our tribe had 6,000 people before the famine of 1980-81. 4,000 survived.

They have never seen an IQ test, but I can guarantee that they are wiser than a significant portion of Congress, the media and academia.

Family members from here probably sent it to him. If they are receiving government benefits, then we taxpayers paid for him to come here.

Sorry, but NEVER got into the full article.

I judged the entire article by the following:

“Did Thomas Eric Duncan know he might have possibly been exposed to Ebola in Liberia? Should he have been more aware of the potential dangers of Ebola and the potential for spreading the disease to others?”

Let’s see, Eric Duncan flew out of Monrovia, Liberia where Ebola has been running unchecked for how many weeks?

Let’s see, Eric Duncan had lived in Monrovia, Liberia where dead bodies of Ebola victims are routinely found on the city’s streets.

Lets see, Eric Duncan had physically carried a woman stricken with Ebola to and from a hospital’s maternity AND Ebola wards. She was refused admission to the Ebola ward because it was full.

From those three documented statements there is no doubt in my mind that Eric Duncan knew he was exposed to Ebola before he boarded the flight to Brussels. He also had, from personal observation, an idea as to serious an Ebola infection was and could be.

Why display your own stupidity and heard mentality by asking questions that have already been answered?

I don’t doubt that he understood it either. He wasn’t some primitive person, he was sophisticated enough to apply for a visa and get on a plane for the US. He worked for some shipping company when he had a job.

“I thought it was “Ashes, ashes” we all fall down (dead)”

Originally (in England) it was: a-choo, a-choo, because sneezing fits usually preceded death. Reportedly, this is one of the reasons people often say “bless you” when someone sneezes*.

*it is thought that some cultures believed the Devil could enter your body during a sneeze, thus the blessing.

An Irish cook makes what up to 90 per cent of Ebola victims come to resemble...boiled dinner?

The Irish cook didn't have any symptoms?

The game of Ebola Roulette continues...

Eeeee-bolllll-aaaaaa ping!

Bring Out Your Dead

We’re gonna need

a bigger cart!

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

You should read the whole article. I’m sorry, but I had to severely snip it in order to follow the rules. Dr. Manny wrote a much better article than my synopsis reveals. His questions were numerous and made a lot of sense.

I thought the historic info on Typhoid Mary was more important which is why I abbreviated the questions about Duncan.

That, too, but that does not deal with the guy going to Belgium. It is just as much a problem for America if Ebola gets into Europe as if it gets into Wisconsin.Bush closed all the airports in the USA when the Twin Towers were struck. We can close all the airports in the stricken areas of Africa. We do not have to accept an ebola epidemic in our country for political (international law) reasons. International law is, in fact, based on the power and requirements of the United States modified by considerations of relative power of China and Russia, not on any Principles or Higher Law.

He flew in from Brussels. Yes. But he flew out of an airport in LIBERIA. We have electronic everything now. All visas from ebola areas could have been flagged so that they come up on the screens as soon as he tries to get on a flight to the USA and that trip prevented.

There are 13,500 visas held by people in Ebola countries. Any one of them can buy a ticket and come here at any time. They just have to state on the form that they have not been in contact with Ebola, and they have to be asymptomatic. None of this insanity will stop as long as the State Dept policy is directed by Obola.
