I agree that there should be others joining in the attack BUT what is Sen. Warren's solution? More government like Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley which continue to solve what? This problem comes 4 years AFTER Dodd-Frank which grows as ever more blue-sky language is converted into increased regulation. YET, crucially, not one single person of the ever so maligned Money Center Banks (MCBs) and Wall Street that Sen.Warren has so attacked following the 2008 melt-down has gone to jail for the sins she attributes to them collectively!
As the definition of Crony Crapitalism, Wall Street and the MCBs are big fish donators and are fiercely defended by the likes of Sen.Schumer and his allies INCLUDING Sen.Warren. What is demonstrated by this revelation is that big government (goal of Democrats) marries big money because they form a symbiotic relationship where big money pays tribute (campaign donations) and big government squelches competition and pretends to care about the other's fraud and crimes. Actually, all government does is add a little more fines (tribute) to big money's cost of doing business! WOW!
piytar, not sure if you are aware or not, but the post where that $77,000,000 figure came from, was satire...If you were aware, nevermind...
Even Satan will acknowledge the existence of God which is speaking truth. That is confusing to the logical and illogical alike. Because it folds back on itself in validity.
Is the sentence “I am a liar” true?
I suspect you are right on the money concerning Elizabeth Warren. But she is acknowledging the existence of something that is true. She has unfortunately become the messenger for something that needs to be discussed.
I wish the messenger had been someone else. I don’t know who but someone who can hold the respect of most Americans.
That story was a hoax.
I know, I know. See #23.
I just mailed her a Calvary blanket with Ebola on it.
Pale face got red in the face when she had to execute an about face.
Ooops. My bad.
Lol. Good one.
The banks will contnue (financially) raping us, and we will continue taking it. That is all.
It may be obvious but I don’t hear any Pubs saying it. They’re too worried about their next job after they leave “public service”.
I think they do things differently in Warren’s Bolshevik tribe.
Is this one of those theatrics where the conservatives were about to blow the whistle on the Fed but were preempted by Warren to allow demRATS to control a congressional hearing on the allegations?
The relationship is too cozy, and it always will be.
It’s called regulatory capture, and it’s an inevitable consequence of the regulatory state.
They used to say that if you allowed legislatures to control what is bought and sold, the first thing to be sold would be legislators.
Same thing is true for regulatory bureaucrats, except they are less constrained by oversight.
The only way to reduce is is to have less regulation.
A very wise Son of Man once said, “It is very hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Too bad they don’t realize they are trading their bowl of stew for their inheritance.
Anyone in the government not on the receiving end of the bank? Is campaign money actually kept?
Careful there. The $77,000,000 job was exposed as a hoax.
Sorry. I didn’t read to the bottom of the thread before I jumped. As long as you know about the hoax, it’s all good.
