Tell that to the doctors who have been infected even with all the protective suits. That hasn't happened. One doctor got infected by coming into contact with a contaminated protective suit - the best protective suits in the world won't protect you if there's no infrastructure in place to clean them properly after use -- that's a problem in Liberia and Sierra Leone, not so much in countries with even rudimentary public health systems.

Many health workers have been infected, for that reason and a variety of others. Also there is the very real opportunity for undiagnosed people to infect others. The initial symptoms are flue-like, and what's more common in the U.S. than a flue bug?
