White House: No, We Don't Think We Should Ban Flights From Ebola Countries
Townhall ^ | October 1, 2014 | Katie Pavlich

Posted on 10/01/2014 4:35:48 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Speaking from the White House Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest dodged questions about why flights from countries with Ebola outbreaks are still being accepted to the United States. He did not detail any future plans to stop flights from those countries, or to track connections through Europe to those countries, despite the first case of Ebola showing up in the U.S. after a Liberian man went to a funeral in West Africa and then returned home to Dallas.

In his justification of the administration continuing to allow flights, Earnest argued that because people carrying Ebola don't have symptoms when they get on planes, there isn't a need to limit travel.

Earnest said Ebola will be handled through "rigorously applying medical procedures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control."

Everything is under control...

Americans don’t even know when their lives are in jeopardy.

It shows in the results of the 2008 and 2012 elections.

Earnest argued that because people carrying Ebola don't have symptoms when they get on planes, there isn't a need to limit travel.

...That is exactly the reason why it should be limited/banned! If you don't know who might have the disease, you don't allow anyone! Their logic is completely backwards.

Of course not. A society that doesn’t have any people spreading ebola on the streets isn’t very diverse. And diversity is good. We should embrace their differences, celebrate their varying states of health (and contagion).

As long as no mid-to-upper level people are exposed. Or millionaires and billionaires. Or activists/community organizers.

Earnest said Ebola will be handled through “rigorously applying medical procedures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.”

That is the funniest thing I have heard all day. Who do you suppose tells the CDC what their recommendations are to be?

If so he’d go with the “nuke it from orbit to be sure” plan.

Either Earnest is the stupidest SOB on the face of the earth, or he gets paid really well to attempt to pass this BS by the ordinary folk...

If obama refuses to protect americans from disease, he is guilty of conducting biological warfare upon them.

Not for nothing in his eyes. Visions of dead bodies lining the streets of America will give him sweeter dreams than his pal Reggie does.
This idiot is beyond incompetent. He is absolutely evil.

Think about this...

This is the third world's version of the Neutron Bomb.

Remember the Neutron Bomb during Jimmy Carter's administration?

That was the bomb that was supposed to kill all the people, but leave the buildings and infrastructure in place.

So somebody tell me, how is Ebola any different? With a 70% mortality rate and a 10 day infectious period where nobody knows that they have it?

And Obama doesn't want to stop it from coming here?

It wasn’t just “during Jimmy Carter’s administration” by any means. We have and have had neutron weapons for many years. And a biological warfare program second-to-none. Thank you Nazi and Imperial Japanese scientists.

I remember Carter as being the one who publicly demanded a world-wide ban on any country ever trying to produce one.

Yeah, that’s why we have hundreds of them. Zbig was the “real” president, and he had no problem with them.

That guy in Dallas knew he had been exposed and yet he carried his biological bomb into this country.

He’s risking so much for so little. If flights in and out of Africa are stopped for 21 days we’d have a good idea how dangerous it was to fly with a person who has Ebola. If no further citizens come down with Ebola than it probably really is difficult to catch.

What’s 21 days compared to millions of Americans dying? Shut the flights down until we know.

I guess liberal elites are afraid of being called racists...

Yeah, we suspended flights to Israel because one missile came close to the airport... but we can’t suspend flights to and from Africa? Gimme a break...
