US Airlines scramble after 100s of passengers had contact with Ebola patient
Daily Mail UK ^ | October 1, 2014 | By MICHAEL ZENNIE FOR MAILONLINE and REUTERS

Hundreds of airline passengers were exposed to the Liberian national before he landed in Dallas, last month, as it is revealed that he took at least three flights to get from Monrovia, Liberia to Texas.

Officials announced that Thomas Eric Duncan flew through Brussels to get to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport - but no airlines operate a direct flight from the European capital to Dallas, meaning he had to take a connecting flight in between.

U.S. officials have refused to release details of his itinerary, including which city he connected through - claiming that none of his fellow passengers are at risk.

Several leading U.S. airlines said on Wednesday they were in close contact with federal health officials about Ebola-related travel.

Airlines for America, the industry trade group, on Wednesday U.S. airlines are in regular contact with the Centers for Disease Control and other government agencies about helping to prevent the spread of Ebola.

I pretty sure what they are saying is true. If it were more contagious millions would be dead in the Hot Zone. But that does not mean that we should minimize the risk to this country.

Why the hell hasn't Britain, France, etc. suffered the 1st outside Africa patient?

The Federal Government has been derelict in its duty to keep us safe. Period.

Two United Airline Flights - UAL Flight 951 Brussles to Dulles and UAL Flight 822 from Dulles to Dallas.

If other passengers come down with Ebola from these planes airlines must STOP all flights OUT of Africa. Screw the CDC...

He probably knew that there was a high probability that he was infected and he didn’t want to get sick in Liberia. Who could blame him?

Thanks for coming over Duncan.

Strangely believe it, the guy in Dallas apparently flew from Brussels to Dulles and then to Dallas.

The piece on Fox didn’t tell how he came to Brussels but apparently not on the plane that brought him to our shores.

The question for Obama..... you shut down flights from Tel Aviv where no one was actually killed but won’t consider stopping flights into and out of Africa where real death emanates

It’s troubling that the stock market has reacted to this Ebola case and that multiple airlines’ share prices fell more than 3%. It doesn’t help my confidence a whole lot.

Medical personnel seem to be consistent in saying that Ebola is not as much of a threat in the U.S. as it is in Africa, but that doesn’t help my confidence a whole lot either.

The jury is still out on this one. We won’t know who is correct for another 21 days or so. If we hear nothing about potential cases after 7 to 10 days, the medical community has contained it. If we begin hearing in 7-10 days that individuals are presenting symptoms and being tested, fear will begin to set in with the general public.

If they aren't at risk then why NOT release the information .

With a 17-hour flight, a person could be fine when they got on board and still infect a lot of people before they get off. It is nuts that we are allowing people from Liberia to come here without first being isolated and observed for 21 days to make sure they aren’t infected.

It’s almost as crazy as holding open our borders so all the terrorists and infected people who want can come in and wreak all the damage they want here...

Obola said it wasn’t going to come here, to make sure nobody pushed him to close the border. Then he said it’s inevitable that there’s gonna be a big epidemic and now’s the time to get ready... So who is it that he knew crossed over our border in that between-time?

One of the members of Congress asked the regime to explain why they said that epidemic was inevitable, if the disease isn’t airborne and is only contagious when symptoms are apparent. That’s a REALLY good question, and the country needs answers NOW!!!

Can you give me a link on what you have read that he did not give a damn who he infected? Because right now, I hate that man.
I also have the same feeling for his family ( children excluded) who allowed him to come here.

He might have gotten into the taxi by himself without knowing that others would bring a woman dying from Ebola into the taxi with him.

The only thing we the sheeple will get from the regime is lies. The regime is serving agenda 21. God help the 3000+ military personnel this L4B devil has sent to Africa to bring back infectious disease.

It is interesting how doctors like Dr. Segal (sp?) on Fox say that for every 1 patient in Africa who has Ebola, only two will contract it. As per Drudge, this one patient who is symptomatic, had contact with 18 people. I guess only 2 of the 18 will contract the virus. Luckily we don’t wash the bodies of the victims. So that will help and keep the numbers down? : (

Airplanes have all recirculated air that he was breathing, maybe sneezing and coughing in and not saying a word...

Not so much strange as selfish to the nth degree. I’m sure he was scared to hell, but he (and they, if he told them) might have thought that he would get better care here. Still, to put so many people at risk, I’m just shaking my head.

Of course, you know that I was the mom that kept my kids home from school when they were sick, so as not to inflict their illnesses on the rest of the school.
