Well, funny thing is, isolation works. This other stuff isn’t doing so well. (This outbreak is up to six countries in the wild)
Forehead thermometers are likely just for confirmation. If they put up infrared cameras, a person with a fever sticks out in a crowd. This technology has been used for years.
So, if they see somebody who is hot, they pull them aside and put a thermometer on their forehead for a physical confirmation.
