Despite a series of political scandals that marred the California state Senate this year, Gov. Jerry Brown said Tuesday he had vetoed key ethics bills seeking to place new restrictions on gift giving and campaign spending.

The Democratic governor said politicians should be subject to campaign finance rules, but the general activities addressed in the bills already are subject to regulation and disclosure.

The political ethics bills originated in the state Senate, where lawmakers have been under a cloud after federal agents arrested two Democrats in unrelated corruption cases. Agents say supporters lavished gifts and dinners on Sens. Leland Yee of San Francisco and Ron Calderon of Montebello to curry favor. …

I’ll bet that the only reason the Rat controlled state senate and state house passed the bill is because they had a backroom deal where Gov Moonbeam would veto it and give them cover.

The more I see of these clowns in sacramento and washington dc, the less inclined I am to want to obey their commands.

I do not respect them. They are corrupt, greedy night crawlers. Why should I obey their immoral laws?

Why should I obey their immoral laws?

Because they have the power and desire to punish the hell out of you if you don't. Remember the quote attributed to George Washington:

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master."

The only way to take back California from the fascists and commies is to resurrect the 1867 Reconstruction Act. In a nutshell, that means:

1. Appointing a military governor.

2. Sending in a division of troops.

3. Arresting prominent leftist politicians for treason.

4. Holding trials and hanging those found guilty by a military tribunal.

5. Giving the remaining traitors 24 hours to leave America.

‘Because they have the power and desire to punish the hell out of you if you don’t. “

Complete BS. What makes you think that a bunch of fat, federal bureaucratic slobs have the martial skills? Do this: Walk thru any federal office - IRS, Welfare, Forest service - and then come back and tell us how comfortable you’d be as a general leading these fat, 50 IQ slobs onto a battlefield.

During the legislative session, lawmakers pushed Hill to remove more stringent provisions from his bill, including capping annual travel expenses paid by donors at $5,000 and banning the use of campaign money to pay legal costs to fight criminal charges.

THERE it is!

LOL! Martial skills? Why get physical when you have the power to fine lawbreakers and imprison them? Try ignoring a jury duty summons or don’t pay your property taxes. You’ll learn about punishment.

You're right, just take a look at the list of Dem crooks that had to lawyer up big time in the past year.

Wow. This could be a "wealth redistribution plan" that I would support!
