I bet there is a massive amount of fraud in these sperm banks. I remember a case years ago where the doctor claimed he was giving women sperm from professors and Nobel Prize winners and athletes but it was really just his, and he was a fat, dopey loser. There is no way to know other than, uh, being there when the sample is given.

I seem to recall a movie in which a black couple (Vanessa Williams may have been the wife) were watching the evening news when an announcement was made of a fertility clinic doctor being arrested for doing just that. The television showed an obese light skinned black doctor with a "loose afro" being perp walked out of his clinic. The scene then switched to a worried looking couple as they glanced at their obese light skinned son with a loose afro.

Wouldn’t that be funny if in the movie Vanessa William’s character was having an affair with Dr. “Loose Afro” and tried to cover it up?
