Meg Kissinger is a seasoned reporter at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Wisconsins well-known newspaper. Shes seen a lot in her days. But what she said happened at a speech by Michelle Obama in the state on Monday left her utterly creeped out.
Kissinger took to her Facebook and Twitter page to describe what happened. In short, she said, aides for both the first lady and Wisconsin Democratic candidate for governor, Mary Burke, told her she was banned from talking to members of the crowd.
Kissinger was in Hudson, Wisconsin, covering the first ladys speech in which she was stumping for Burke.
[A]ssigned to cover Michelle Obamas speech today and was told by a Mary Burke aide and one for the White House that I could not speak to the people in the crowd, she said on her Facebook page. To say that I was creeped out is an understatement. This is what reporters do in America: we speak to people. At least thats how Ive been doing things at all kinds of political events since 1979.

And here's more "non-news" straight from the mouths of lefties who were at the rally!
Apologies if the second link does not produce the story. It’s a subscriber site, but I was able to see the story the first time I clicked on the link.
She will take it all back in a few hours. With the addition of how stylish and kind Michele is of course.
DICTATORSHIP!!!! This is what happens in Banana Republics run by Communist, Marxist Strongmen!!
Its because the crowd was probably totally fake.
State union political thugs on the job, being paid time-and-a-half to sit there and provide optics for the PR event.
Why didn’t Meg Kissinger have the guts to defy the unlawful order and talk to the crowd anyway?
Thanks for posting, Mygirlsmom. Meg Kissinger is a seasoned journalist and not a “conservative”. Scott Walker was in Hudson campaigning with Chris Christie, or so we have been told. I can’t even access the Journal Sentinell this AM. My computer locks up every time I try.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Good point.
This is another “Stand up, Chuck” moment for the Dim Dems.
Eva Braun had the good sense to keep quiet and stay in the background.
I get creeped out at the mere mention of her name. No, not the reporter.
Reporters are only free to mingle in the Potemkin Village?
Where is their first amendment right to peaceably assemble?

banned from talking to members of the crowd?
I’m banned huh? Watch me talk to anyone I choose. What are you going to do about it?
Just couldn’t tell which end was the mules ass and which was mooch’s face.
Yeah, I thought bold “Journ-O-Lists” would choose jail time over refusal to reveal sources, etc. ?
Where’s the guts and journalistic fight, Meg?
Thats easy to answer, its all about money and access. Had she ignored the ‘order’ they would have put her out (for good) and the paper wouldn’t have a story to run like all the other papers which still have access. Its similar to what Barry tried to do to Fox.
The order came directly from the Fuhrer Bunker on Pennsylvania Avenue.
My question also. It was probably unlawful. When I was young *real* journalists would have defied it and dared to be arrested.
If this chick is such seasoned journalist, why isn't she busting her chops to make this a national story?? 10 to 1 if it was Sarah Palin she would be doing just that. And her bosses would be having a conniption fit.
Instead of carping on twitter, if she was seriously offended or if she was clear on the LAW, she’d be pressing charges by now...
So what she’s really doing is getting some attention for herself out of an issue she’ll soon drop and move on.
So she’s a coward and a lapdog for the administration, not really news. She is just like all the rest of the quislings.
