The media spent all Monday reporting on the secret service exaggeration re: the White House intruder instead of covering the demonstrable whoppers Obama told 60 Minutes the night before.
I wouldn’t hold my breath either. I would, however, look to see if a series of damning revelations emerge in the runup to the election.
The big misread here by the administration is that the intel community is not the military. I wouldn’t want to piss off people whose sole purpose in life is to collect generally unknown but perhaps actionable information.
The press is malleable. If the network(s) and outlets getting the scoops have the eyeballs advertisers want, the suits in the corporate offices will start demanding coverage.
And you never will the media is pure left.
