The mug shot explains why they thought it was meth.

Not really, everyone is guilty nowadays in the eyes of a majority of LEOs. Got pulled over for touching the white line at 630am, Officer Krupke smelled pot and wanted to search my car. I laughed and said maybe 45 yrs ago if I had this car, there might be pot in it. He blew up and accused me of getting smart with him. Couldn't believe it. Told him, no thanks, you can't search my car, get a warrant. He let me sit there for 25 minutes while he did whatever in his car, then gave me a warning ticket. BTW, I am early 60s and was dressed for work(suit and tie).

LEOs have a tough job, but over the past 10 years it seems that they are not getting quality folks to do the job. I know my views on them have changed drastically over the past 10 years owing to 4 or 5 different benign instances with them.

Tell it to the Iowa kid who drowned here, courtesy the Missouri State (untrained) Water Patrol.

Officer Krupke smelled pot

Really?

How could he? There was no pot in your car, right?

Therefore, he could not possibly have smelled pot.

Officer Krupke didn't smell pot.

Officer Krupke LIED to you.

It's that simple.

Dear Officer Krupke: KRUP YOU!

LOL, love it!

More people have to start doing this to shift the LEO mindset back to "protect and serve" from "dominate and abuse". My sons are in their 20's now, but when they were teenagers I drilled it into their heads, don't cooperate. Say yes sir, no sir and do not consent to any searches.

I think they have become like all the other govt employees; arrogant, overpaid, and unaccountable.

Yep, same here.

She may or may not be a meth addict, but I can certainly see why someone might think she is. She has “the look.”

Now whether or not the cops had reasonable cause to arrest her is another matter. Looking like a meth addict isn’t sufficient cause, but other articles I’ve read suggest there were other factors which contributed to their suspicions. And it probably wasn’t a good idea for her to give the cops a false name.

LOL. You are lucky he didn't manage to reach a K9 unit to come over and “alert” on your vehicle. Punishment for being “smart” ie: disrespect of cop would have had you proned out as your car is tossed and you get to be arraigned and make bail.

The up side is you would have been able to retire early on the financial settlement that a mail order lawyer could have gotten out of the city or county. You missed your chance to win the highway lotto courtesy of officer Krupke. LOL
