4 Memphis police officers were recently suspended after they tipped over a portable toilet that had someone inside of it.
31-year-old Joseph Hampton was allegedly being chased by police when he ducked into a construction site and hid in one of the toilets.

Hiring a bunch arrested adolescents and handing them badges, guns and arrest powers is a really scary proposition.
Are they suspended for tipping over the porta potty which seemed to work well or for one of the kicking the guy coming out for not apparent reason? I wonder if no one reported the unnecessary assault and that is what has them in trouble.

The kick appears to me to be punishment for running from them. Of course the police are not allowed to punish, just accuse and arrest.

The officer was inflicting State punishment of the accused before a trial was conducted.
Oh come on now. It was a good idea. The guy was running from the police and hid in a porta potty. They quickly subdued and arrested him without firing a shot.
Do any reports say why four officers were chasing him? If he had just committed a violent crime would it make a difference?

Taxpayers will probably be on the hook for a $700 squad car detailing bill so these guys could yuk it up for a minute. What do they care? They don’t pay for it.

I would have preferred just shooting him (for running)...but tipping over the john will do.
It worked. The officers flushed him out.
Until the perp. tests positive for aids and sues the Cops claiming he got the aids from fluid transfer because of the crapper being tipped over.
I doubt the City’s legal team would suggest letting that go to trial.
So Joe Taxpayer is on the hook for 4 cops stupidity...again.
