Frankly, you may be wrong about that, as far as the general public reaction to the "Donkey MSM" counterattack might be. First of all, the MSM has lost trust and credibility among the American people as a whole over the years, especially during the Age of Obama. The MSM can only scream "racism" so long before more and more people tune out.
Maybe I'm too sanguine, but I think that most Americans instinctively detest cheating and fraud, especially in elections. After all, "fairness" is still used effectively by the 'Rats themselves as a populist buzzword (but not when dealing with election procedure, of course). And photo voter ID cards, for example, seem to get excellent support in polling data.
If the GOP can make its points simply, and explain how fraud and cheating in elections is does occur and will continue to occur unless the election procedure is better policed, I believe the majority of Americans, including even some 'rats, would be sympathetic to such a view.
“If the GOP can make its points simply, and explain how fraud and cheating in elections is does occur and will continue to occur unless the election procedure is better policed, I believe the majority of Americans, including even some ‘rats, would be sympathetic to such a view.”
With respect, I do not believe the generic American thought process works that way any more. There *is* no aspiration to nor idealization of some pure form of [small R] republicanism. Along with the demonization of America, anything that smells of “truth, justice, and the American way” is a subject of ridicule. You are envisioning sticking a little screwdriver in there and prying stuff apart. I am saying this is a country-wide, culture-wide effort that has been largely successful. There is no abstract appeal or morality or decency....not when the biggest-earning stars we have are rap artists who visit the White House and when Kim Kardashian (and her ass) is (are?) THE TOP EARNING “CEO” in the country. Did you know that?
Rather than making a counterargument, I will just supply the easily-anticipated squawking that would be the MSM reaction to “the Republicans making a [cogent] case that voter fraud exists.
“If there are 10 or 20 or 37 duplicate Democrat votes, that isn’t enough to swing an election...so what?”
“This is just a bunch of tired old white men trying to preserve their privelege”.
“This is just a bunch of tired old white men trying to hurt minorities.”
“The Republicans do this too, look at the 2000 elections that GWBush won, everybody knows that was a stolen election.”
There is no perceived gain to be had exposing whatever fraud(s) you or I or Joe Blow may be able to uncover wrt elections, not anything approaching the enormous gains to be had for those who support the regime and quash negative news. That is the weighing that goes on and will go on when the decision to expose or cover up is made, and I would suggest to you that it goes only one way from here on out.
Liberals deny that voter fraud ever happens and they still fight photo voter ID, saying they suppress voter turnout.
