Given that the LEO have not been very forthcoming about the relationship between the victim and the alleged perp I wonder what is really going on.

I thought it strange as well that the perp's name was known far and wide within an hour of the incident but nothing about the relationship to the victim, if any. The impression is that he just wanted to kill one or more random state police officers.

That really only makes sense if the perp is a Muslim with an agenda.
