A knife-wielding intruder allowed to burst through the White House's front door. Bullets that struck the window of Barack Obama's private residence but went unnoticed for days. A presidential bodyguard so drunk he passed out in hallway of a hotel.
These are just some of the recent incidents that have shaken confidence in the Secret Service, the elite agency assigned to protect Mr Obama, his family and the White House.
On Tuesday, Julia Pierson, the Secret Service's director, will face a grilling from members of Congress and a battle to convince them that her agents are up to the task of protecting the world's most powerful man.

Some issues go beyond politics. And this is one of them. We should do whatever it takes to ensure the security of the president and his family. No matter our feelings about the politics of a president, we do not want to see anything happen to him.
Yeah, that’s what keeps me up at night.
I’d say Obama had more protection than our Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens did. Perhaps it’s only fair to par Obama’s security down, since... how did Hillary put it? What does it matter?
Well, nothing else matters these days. Why should this?
Hate to think that some nut beheads the President...or one of his family inside the White House. Of course it would be racism and imperialism to retaliate for such a thing. We don’t want to piss off Europe again.

He is certainly not making matters good with how badly they all seem to treat the Secret Service....
If Obama is beheaded in the White House, who will be the first to make a statement urging folks not to jump to conclusions, it could easily be work-place violence, and even if it’s an Islamic adherent, that doesn’t mean anything for sure?
Probably the best protected person in the world.
It does sound like the quality has gone down a bit.
That is a question that should be asked of the demeaned and denigrated Secret Service agents assigned to protect Dear Leader.

What president goes around throwing the CIA, NSA, and God knows what other spook agencies under the bus so he can feel good about himself on 60 minutes?
Some historical figures who may have not satisfied all the timeline they expected to enjoy after having done such stupid things might want to express some sort of advice for such people who do such stupid things.
