The mother of a 20-year-old woman who disappeared in 2009 from Charlottesville, Virginia and later found dead in says her daughter's death is linked forensically with the man now suspected of abducting 18-year-old Hannah Graham.
That man is Jesse Matthew Jr. Now Gil Harrington, mother of slain Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington, told NBC Washington that Virginia authorities believe he may have been involved in both crimes.
Or perhaps even more crimes. Graham is one of five young women to have disappeared from the Charlottesville area in the past five years within a few minutes' drive of the same Route 29 highway.

I had a feeling this guy was involved in the murder of Morgan Harrington..he probably figured, hey got away with her murder, let’s do another..he’s a serial killer who knows how many more women he has murdered

i live a stones throw off of the Rt 29 corridor, i figure this guy has a lot to do with the 5 that has went missing/murdered, especially when i seen the sketch artist photo from Harrington case then seen this guy mugshot, direct match imo. i hope they finally have caught the perp in all these young ladies cases! maybe they need to go back and look at the case that Rodney Taylor was convicted in recently, especially since he insisted the girl was there with him with a large black male with dread locks! : /

However, that’s the first case I thought about when Hannah disappeared — “What If?”
Hope they have all DNA evidence in check from Morgan’s 2009 murder — and the fact that that DNA also matched a 2005 assault in Fairfax, Va. The victim there survived — maybe she can corroborate?

Isnt there another missing girl, Alexis Murphy who disappeared from the same general area? I think supposedly a guy said that she went to a guy’s house to purchase drugs but her family said she was not into drugs
The DNA would also have revealed the race of the perpetrator, which explains why they kept it quiet.
Interesting photo. The officers seem pretty casual. I wonder if that vest has a taser device in it and the officer coming down the steps way behind has a hand on the remote for it...

There were 5 others listed as missing along Rt. 29, as I recall. Sincerely hope Miss Graham is found alive but in any event, her abduction broke the case wide open and may bring closure to many stricken families.
