Obama: US better off but people aren't 'feeling it' (Translation: Americans are too stupid)

The president is delusional. Or misinformed. He also has a short memory. How else do you explain his statement that the US is better off since he took office, but citizens just aren't feeling it because we haven't spent hundreds of billions more in stimulating the economy.

Washington Free Beacon:

President Obama firmly believes the United States is better off now than when he took office, even though the American people cannot “feel” it.

During an interview with 60 Minutes’ Steve Kroft, Obama said, “the country is definitely better off than when I came into office.”

“When I came into office, our economy was in crisis,” Obama said.

The president then cited lower unemployment, private sector job growth, and deficit cuts as evidence of his administration’s success. “I can put my record against any leader around the world in terms of digging ourselves out of a terrible, almost unprecedented financial crisis,” Obama said.

When asked if the president thought the American people could feel that economic success, Obama said, “They don’t feel it.”

Since Obama’s social horizon extends no farther than the hoity-toity confines of DC, the Hamptons, SF, Hollywood, Martha’s Vineyard, all of which have benefited mightily from ‘stimulus’ and QE, it’s to be expected that he would think everyone was doing better. He sees all his buds rolling in their new-found loot and figures everyone should be as happy as Scrooge McDuck.

When the “pound of coffee” we buy is now 12 oz., but costs more than when it was 16 oz., and the jobs are now less than 30 hrs. a week, Americans aren’t stupid enough to believe they are “better off,” no matter what the Lyin’ King is telling us.

The worst thing about the Obama abomination is all the vets who died, were maimed for life, were wounded and the country disgustingly thanked them for their sacrifice by making an avowed blatant enemy of the US their “Commander in Chief” who not surprisingly immediately surrendered everything they fought for. A pig rat bastard who defends Islamic terrorists, rewards traitors, frees Taliban commanders, who allows a Marine to rot in a Mexican prison while allowing Mexico to invade the US day after day after day. I don’t know how people who voted for this b*tch can sleep at night, I really don’t.

I don’t give a crap about anything he says... The only thing I’m thinking about right now is winning the Senate and then beginning Senate hearings on the IRS scandal.

Additionally, blocking all legislation, and requiring Zero to submit middle-of-the-road SCOTUS appts because he obviously would never submit a conservative.

There was a line in blazing saddles from the old lady in the town.
She later apologizes to the sherrif.

But I’m not apologizing.

The boy wonder has been living in the Ivory Tower too long.

He just doesn’t care anyway.

Things are just as ‘swell’ for him as they were 10 years ago when folks groomed him for the Ivory Tower. The REAL economy never touches him or his pals.

How long are we going to put up with this “Important, Smart People” vs. “ignorant, stupid masses” stuff???

They have no conscience, no soul. When you you believe in a debased system of values where anything goes it’s easy to sleep.

You have to wonder what his standard of measure is if we’re “better off” now than before he was elected.

Of course, you could be earning 40% less like me, and “america” is better off because “income disparity” is lower between the producing class and the consuming class.

When the “pound of coffee” we buy is now 12 oz., but costs more than when it was 16 oz.,

Another reason I believe that a scheming Populist will ride into office on a wave of accusations that EEEEEEEVIL Corporations are "nickel and diming" us.

The average low-info voter is not capable of understanding the actual economics of why this is happening. They'll be all kinds of happy to be pointed towards a scapegoat.

the US is better off since he took office

But the Keynesain stimulus is causing its own problems like it always does. Any expansion caused by dramatic increases in the budget deficit will be followed by increased national debt and higher risk of default. And dramatically increased money supply will be followed by inflation which sets the stage for the next financial contraction.

In his view of America, we are better off! Look at how much transforming he has gotten away with. If you listen to his wording that’s exactly what he is saying.
