Problem is that the super-chargers aren’t readily available. If gas stations/restaurants start installing them in their parking lots, the idea is to bring in this client base (yes it’s small for now), while they shop/eat.

Super charging requires some serious electrical service. I doubt they would allow free charges. Tesla has free super charging for the 85KWH models, but one needs to pay additional money to enable the feature on the 60KWH model.

The quickest home charging system requires 240V 100 AMP service.

The ‘60KWH’ model is the same as the 85KWH model with software to limit it to 60.

I would have to pay to use public super chargers. That’s why I got the blink card. I would think an electrician could install a 200 amp service for a reasonable price?
Level 3 chargers start at $75,000 now. Regardless the market will eventually decide the fate of EVs.
