Rising conservative voice and Fox News contributor weighs in

Were any other retired physicians asked about it?
I like Dr. Carson. People think he should run for pres. I have no problem with him running. I just don’t think he has enough ‘fire in the belly’ to get the fence sitters to vote for him. Too laid back and passionless in his speaking and demeanor.
He’s no Ronald Reagan.
I Think Dr. Carson would be much better as General Surgeon or Health and Human Services leadership.
I agree. He needs to earn his chops first, like Cruz is out doing now.
Nice guy, smart, articulate, but has no discernible leadership skills or experience.
WELL SO FAR he is right up there with Cruz and LIGHT YEARS ahead of Romney, the Bushes or Christie.
I'd rather see him keep doing what he's doing, and then look to find an important role in a Republican administration that needs a smart guy with his background in a key post (Surgeon General, maybe).
I like Doc Carson but if he was white, he would not garner nearly as much attention as he is now. Remove his race from the equation and you have a racist ex-doctor that hates Obama.
“I just dont think he has enough fire in the belly to get the fence sitters to vote for him.”
Whichever conservative candidate can debate the democratic candidates in the the 2016 presidential election and not sidestep the issues will get my vote.
I want to see some “fire in the belly” Conservative candidates. Romney had the chance to nail Obama on the Benghazi issues in the last campaign debates and he did not.
So far the only candidates with passion and commitment I have seen are Cruz and Palin. The rest are pussyfooting around the issues.
I have read things which imply that he is shaky on Second amendment rights-that he supports more registration etc.
I wonder what Sen. Mike Lee is thinking regarding running.
He would be a top notch VP for Sen. Cruz.
.
he brings the experiences of a city dweller and someone that had to deal with all sorts of violence as a doctor into his decision process. If I had to deal with the crap that the ER and OR docs at Hopkins did, it would skew my reality too. Nice guy, unassailable character but not presidential material IMO.
You want a Reagan? Check out Dennis Michael Lynch
"fire in the belly RINO like John
"build the dang fence" McLame/Mcamnesty/
BankofAmigo/arrogant, self-serving, a$$-
hole
Not saying "he's my choice, but he' a LOT
better than most at this point in time.
Agreed, he will be eaten alive, he’s good for a cabinet position but not presidential material, he doesn’t have the political chops to fight back against the liberal machine.
I’m going to keep my eyes on the conservative presidential candidates first. From that group, someone will emerge as the VP maybe. If not, it must be someone who will add value to the ticket, maybe a moderate. Either way, I don’t want to see another Bush, Romney, or other GOPe has-been on the ticket.
I like everything about Ted Cruz so far I think he’s much more capable and prepared to lead America out of this wilderness than Carson.
I just don't want to debate ":fire in the belly".
I've dealt with that bull$hit thinking for most of my
life and I don NOT want to hear it any more.
