Be careful how you lump general titles into one category unfairly. There are distinct branches of the Presbyterian church, for example. It was for the very reason you mentioned, of leftist successfully infiltrating and taking over, that caused the PCA (Presbyterian Church in America)to split off from the other Presbyterian churches. The PCA sends NO money to the National Council of Churches, sermons are studies of the Bible rather than books or topics instituted by men, beliefs are conservative.

Speaking as an observer attempting to take as detached a view as possible I would say that it is astounding that anyone could conceive the idea that there is room in the Christian religion for ANTHROPOGENIC global warming! To believe in AGW one must believe that man controls the climate rather than the almighty God that a Christian is supposed to believe in. If people cannot see that as a total contradiction they are hopelessly confused. If a person believes in God then he must accept that ONLY God can cause global warming.
All this is even harder to understand in light of the fact that current indications would seem to point toward a global cooling rather than global warming.
