This appears to have been created out of thin air, just ask some kids to say witty creative put downs about the job they don’t like.

This is one of those stories where I would like to have seen an effort to look into these outlandish claims and in some cases, meaningless observations, the meat looks “like hair gel” when it cools, stir the dehydrated bean mix until the “white” part of the larger pieces of pinto beans disappears.

“”The beans start out looking like cat food, and the directions are, ‘Add water and stir until you can’t see white anymore.’ The steak was just the worst on dish duty. If it would sit too long it would become like hair gel. It was the worst,’ he wrote.””

Yeah...the “stir til the white disappears” doesn’t seem any worse objectively than my quick and dirty way of preparing oatmeal to my preferred consistency...”add water til just covered”. There’s nothing wrong with a simple visual indication of readiness!

Truthfully if I’ve been eating it this long and it tastes good and hasn’t made me sick, no revelation about how it was made is going to convince me to stop eating it short of finding out the meat is cat or dog.
