ISIS has been around for several years, operating in Iraq, mostly in Tal Afar and Baghdad.

Al Nusra was the AQ group that established in Syria because the Free Syrian Army and its coalition of anti-Assad fighters were ineffective on the battlefield and didn’t allow the radical jihadists into their coalition.

Al Nusra is well connected to Zawahiri and his wealthy Qatari financiers. They also were well connected to the Libyans that now owned much of Qaddafi’s weapons. A marriage made in hell.

So the Libyans and Qatari’s puffed up Al Nusra that then expanded the fight against Assad.

ISIL saw the success of Al Nusra and decided to move its war machine from Iraq to Syria, where ISIS then tapped the Qatari money and Libyan weapons also, competing with Al Nusra.

That is why Zawahiri kicked them out of Al Nusra. ISIS then decided to go back to Iraq for some easy pickings (like robbing the Mosul banks) because the Iraqi army is not combat effective.

ISIS has made a major tactical blunder because its leadership does not see a larger picture and feels immune from attack. Much like Hitler invading Russia too soon.

Now ISIS has no safe haven and what ever they do in the future, they’ll do it walking and living in tents.

Smells fishy. What are the chances they are trying to give obama political cover? ISIS is fairly media savvy.

At some point we are going to have to start pre-emptively awarding Mooslimbs their 72 virgins.

That we have people running the national security apparatus that seem to believe ISIS is the greatest threat "to every interest we have in the Middle East and beyond", is indicative of their amateur stature.

35,000 fighters with a couple of hundred thousand hangers-on does not a genuine, existential threat make.

The Saudis or Iran or Turkey could take care of the problem in a few weeks if they desired.

Going to war over a couple of beheadings is just plain dumb. What is the political origin of such rhetoric?

BEHEADING IN OKLAHOMA – ALLAH IS GREAT

Man in Oklahoma workplace beheading tried converting victim to Islam: report

New York Post ^ | 09/26/2014 | Chris Perez

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3208184/posts#comment

The FBI is investigating the beheading of a food distribution plant worker in Oklahoma who was attacked by a colleague that recently tried to convert her to Islam, cops said Friday.

OBAMA WILL PRESENT THIS CASE TO THE UNITED NATIONS AS ANOTHER PROOF OF OUR FAILURE FOR NOT CONVERTING TO THE RELIGION OF PEACE.

Blood In: Beheading as Islamic State Initiation

A beheading video of French hostage Hervé Gourdel was released on September 24, 2014 by the Algerian group Jund al-Khilafah (Soldiers of the Caliphate). The video is significantly different than the three previous high production Islamic State beheading videos of Americans James Foley and Steve Sotloff and British hostage David Haines. The Algerian jihadist group kidnapped Gourdel, a 55-year-old mountaineering guide, while he was hiking in the Djurdjura National Park in Algeria. They released a video two days prior to the beheading giving France an ultimatum, either stop the aggression against the Islamic State or Gourdel would die within 24-hours. France rejected the ultimatum and the jihadists made good on their threat.

ISLAM IS NOT, AND NEVER HAS BEEN, A RELIGION OF PEACE.

Of course, that’s not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons.. . “Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world and all of us against the infidel.” — Leon Uris, “The Haj”

As Byzantine emperor Manuel II Palaiologos, one of the last Christian rulers before the fall of Constantinople to the Muslim Ottoman Empire, in a dialogue with a Persian Muslim scholar, he asked:

“Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.”

Better start being clear that we need to defend our faith and our way of life. Lest we loose them.

Oh, I think Real Americans figured out what Islam “is”, a long time ago...

“The Koran demands perpetual war against all who deny Mahomet as the prophet of God” - John Quincy Adams

“Treachery and violence are taught as principles of Mohamet’s religion” - John Quincy Adams

“While the merciless dogmas of Muhammad remain there can never be peace upon earth” - John Quincy Adams

WINSTON CHURCHILL ON ISLAM

“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome …” Sir Winston Churchill; (Source: The River War, first edition, Vol II, pages 248-250 London).Churchill saw it coming……

Monsignor Walter Brandmüller, president of the Vatican Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences.

“Islam is destined to remain unchanged in the future, as it has been until now, the only possible outcome is a difficult coexistence with those who do not belong to the Muslim community: in an Islamic country, in fact, the non-Muslim must submit to the Islamic system, if he does not wish to live in a situation of substantial intolerance. Likewise, on account of this all-embracing conception of religion and political authority, the Muslim will have great difficulty in adapting to the civil laws in non-Islamic countries, seeing them as something foreign to his upbringing and to the dictates of his religion. Perhaps one should ask oneself if the well-attested difficulties persons coming from the Islamic world have with integrating into the social and cultural life of the West are not explained in part by this problematic situation. We must also recognize the natural right of every society to defend its own cultural, religious, and political identity. It seems to me that this is precisely what Pope Saint Pius V did. “ (Christianity and Islam in History by Monsignor Walter Brandmüller, president of the Vatican Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences.)

THE ISLAMIC STATE IN IRAQ

Islam is as much a religion of peace and tolerance today as it has been since its foundation by Muhammad in the 8th century.

they will only stop when the “leaders of the infidels are beheaded.

OK, from anywhere in Canada, head east till you come to the Atlantic coast, turn right, that would be south and follow it till you get to Portland, then jump on I95 and drive about 500 miles south to Washington DC.

The hit song “Istanbul (not Constantinople)” as explained by The Four Freshmen. Before the Ottoman Empire overcame the city it was known as Constantinople. See, we even had Muslim PC back in the 50’s.

What is the political origin of such rhetoric?

You’ve answered your own question. All the rhetoric is political in origin. The politicians driving the rhetoric are ignoring their own intel and have done so for years. ISIS has been mentioned many times in the President’s daily briefings ever since we pulled out of Iraq.

Obama claims that we were forced to leave Iraq because of the lack of a status of forces agreement that held our military harmless for collateral damage.

OK... So under what legal basis are our new troops going to be under??? The first reinforcements we sent to Baghdad and Irbil are under diplomatic protection. There will be about 5,000 of our military in country, boots on the ground, by the end of the year. Including a divisional HQ. All diplomats??

It is the White House morons forcing the Pentagon to tiptoe in Iraq.

ISIS is not a threat to the West, not now. They will be training on how to duck and run for cover for some time.

Al Nusra is a larger threat because they are better connected to AQIM, AQAP, AQ, Qatari money, Libyan weapons, etc. We invented the name “Khorasan Group” which is nothing more than a task cell within Al Nusra.

Iran is the only force, with Hezb’ Allah and Assad that could effectively counter ISIL and Al Nusra. But for many reasons, we can’t work with them, mainly because of the Saudi’s.

BTW, it was the Iranian Quds force that kept Irbil, and our 3 month old consulate, from being captured by ISIL early on until we could get a QR team there to stiffen the Kurds.

1. He knows of thousands of people in the west ready to carry out terrorist attacks for ISIS.

Well, we all know about this, don't we? No surprise here.

2. That he outsmarted Canadian intelligence officers when they tried to stop him from going to Syria because they suspected he may be a terrorist.

This is a puzzling statement. I have left Canada hundreds of times and there are no "exit officers". If he was interviewed by security services before he left, they have tagged him and he will be stopped if he tries to return.

3. ISIS has thousands more prisoners from the West that it plans to behead.

No surprise here. Wait until they trot out the female US hostage they are holding.

4. The terror group claims that it will make those who oppose it their slaves.

This is assumed.

5. The Islamic State will attack New York soon.

Well, we know New York is the number 1 target.

The Oklahoma jihadi had a statement on his facebook site
about the statue of Liberty in flames.
Makes me wonder if maybe he had heard something from
his imam or mosque.

"Iran is the only force, with Hezb’ Allah"

Not so, as said before Turkey and/or the Saudis could also eliminate this threat the the emotional well-being of the west:)

It could also be done with a single US Infantry division and associated logistics/air support.

The ONLY reason these guys are not dead or hiding in a hole right now is because no organized force has taken them on.

They are simply street thugs, noting more.
