The earthquakes are usually triggered when water and carbon dioxide above the magma move up into higher layers of the earth’s crust and into the cracks of the small faults. God is fracking.

I happen to watch quakes and indeed this IS a HUGE swarm....
over 300 quakes in two days... that my friend is a HUGE Swarm!
I’m absolutely NO fan of LA Times or the media but this one is absolutely accurate.

I tracked down the webicorder nearest the action. The
link starts on 9/25 with fairly quiet states and begins to show harmonic tremors before the seismic activity gets underway. It certainly gives the appearance of some magma movement. You can click forward on the webicorders for data to the present time.
