Before anyone talks about any third party, we have to change election laws to allow for run-offs if no candidate gets a majority. Without run-offs, third parties are just spoilers.
Agree. Without runoff elections, you have to ask yourself if you want to vote for a spoiler. With runoff elections, you are free to vote for who you want in the 1st round, without concern about a disagreeable candidate being elected with some bare plurality of the vote.
