A restless electorate and a target-rich map have the GOP on the cusp of winning the Senate majority. But with fewer than 40 days until November, Republican campaigns are suddenly confronting a problem that undermines high hopes of victory: a sudden and serious lack of cash.
GOP campaigns, political committees, andabove allthe party's outside groups are scrambling to raise money, worried that Democrats and their allied groups are poised to heavily outspend them on TV ads in the final weeks before Election Day. Concerns run deepest about October, when Democratic groups are on track to pour millions of dollars into a handful of races that will determine which party controls the Senate. In some of those same races, Republicans have reserved little or no airtime.

They spared no expense beating those Tea Party candidates.
Can’t be. All we heard when campaign fiancées were struck down was that evil corporate interests would buy elections for the GOP
I keep reading about Democrat money advantages and wonder just who are the people giving all that money to candidates likely to lose? I wish I had that kind of money to throw away.
People are likely to not give money to you if you crush them.
About six months ago, I told the RNC where they could go and to NOT call back until they quit bashing the TEA party.
Whizz on your base, pay the consequences. The GOPe isn’t interested in winning. Out for their crony capitalists.
They need to stop acing like Democrats.
Gee could the fact that the IRS and rogue Democrat DA's continue to assault conservatives with impunity have anything to do with it ya think????
Is Alex Roarty Rove’s ghost writer?
Bwaaaaaaahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! The gop-e fools need to stare at their empty bank accounts and ponder RINOs losing. Not one penny of money or a second of effort toward RINOs and the gop-e...where ever that might lead.
What’s the problem? I’m sure the amnesty-loving, Tea Party-hating US Chamber of Commerce will open up its check book and make up the deficit.
I thought this was supposed to be a wave election for the GOP.
Not surprising the GOP is out of money.
They offer Americans no message, no plan, no vision other than
Democrats bad, Harry Reid. And that will not be enough for voters
who are not GOP sycophants.
I suspect these reports are an ill-fated attempt by the GOPe to get support from what is now the main stream Tea Party conservatives, who correctly abandoned the GOPe brand.
Boy, the disinformation campaign to try and convince me to send them a check has really kicked into high gear.
Sorry, Karl. Ain’t gonna work.
Some 95% of the woe in this world is self-induced.
The Republican had a perfectly good opportunity to expand its tent and its fundraising capabilities, perhaps by a near-exponential rate. But they chose to direct their fear and loathing, not at the Democrats, but at the one reliable demographic that has been pretty much drawn to the Republican party. The social and fiscal conservatives have long since been read out of the Democrat party, leaving only the default locality in the Republican tent. However, the “defenders” of the orthodox country-club Republican establishment have almost entirely successfully repulsed these “invaders”, and their precincts are sacrosanct once more.
If much smaller and fewer in number.
I have not lost faith altogether with the Republicans, as there are individual candidates among them that I have been supporting all along. But a few I was supporting early on were shot out of the saddle in the primaries, and that was sort of wasted ammunition.
I like to think it was the Establishment Republicans’ wasted ammunition. Because I now would not contribute one bit for their currently depleted coffers, and had my guy (or lady) won, I would have been much more generous.
Because my guy (or lady) would have been a contender.
GOPe stop supporting Amnesty for illegal aliens and maybe you wouldn’t be having this problem.
