She led a move to take the Alamo away from "the kind of people they can't stand" and give it to the San Antonio city council (on which she sat), to turn it into a "museum of Hispanic civilization". And put a Mexican flag on it, no doubt, and an enormous equestrian statue of Santa Anna in the plaza.

More recently (this year), the State of Texas, led by state attorney general (and candidate for goobernor) Greg Abbott, had to take the Alamo away from the Daughters of the Texas Revolution unilaterally, in order to keep Obama and the UN (at the instance of the Castro family, I little doubt) from declaring the Alamo a "world heritage site" and taking it over as a Hispanic trophy (and putting the flag, statue, etc. ....).
They don't quit, and their hates will not die.
Led by Mama and some other city-council red-hots. It failed, obviously, and the State put the Alamo into the hands of the DTR.
But Obama grabbing for it is another thing entirely.
Thank you for bringing me back up to date on the Castro klan. I knew commie mamma had some big time baggage, but I could not remember the details.
