Police and protesters clashed briefly in Ferguson just hours after the St. Louis suburb's police chief issued an apology to the family of Michael Brown, a black 18-year-old who was fatally shot by a white police officer last month.

The mob is calling for a lynching based on race rather than evidence [completely missing the absurd irony in this] and will settle for nothing less than the officer's head on a platter. Maybe his wife and kids too, for good measure. That will, of course, only whet the appetite for more racially motivated attacks across the country upon anyone who is the wrong color in the wrong place at the wrong time -- and small, elderly and/or disabled.
Rule of Law has been discarded in favor of justice determined by group identity. The government has already indicated which side it will take.
If the police are the problem, then the Ferguson police should abandon the town [because the town has abandoned them] and let the community organizers take charge. Let's see how that works out.
This was a stupid idea and that we all knew was going to end badly.

They’re not rioting and looting in response to the #knockOUTgame either. Civilized people don’t do that.
The headline makes one think the chief apologized for officer Wilson shooting Brown, NOT SO. Instead, the apology was for leaving Browns body laying in the street for four hours. Personally, the chief made a tactical error in saying ANYTHING and worse, joining in the protest march. Dumb ass move IMO. The chief himself needs to be put on “administrative leave” until this thing is completely over (which may never come) as he is only adding fuel to the fire of anarchy.
The “Street Rats” will riot no matter what way the grand jury decides, its what they do.

He should have used the john f’n kohn-heinz-kerry model for his “apology”. “I’m sorry that your son was a belligerent punk that attacked one of my officers leaving the officer no choice but to protect his own life.”
Another question I may have missed the answer to. What type of sidearm was involved? How many rounds were fired? Did the officer empty the “clip”? Did he drop the first mag and start using a 2nd mag? Did he only use the amount required to stop the threat? From the autopsy charts it kinda looks like he hit low and walked the rounds up until the threat was no longer viable.
I think if you combine this and F&F, Holder was about to take a major beating so resigning was the best thing for him. Plus he now is in the perfect place for that Presidential pardon.
Looks like the next AG will be Patrick, since Obama wil not be able to trust a white man to bail him out once the roof collapses on him. At this point, all the white men are probably on Hillary’s payroll and she has some serious payback to fulfill.

I live in an old folks home with some people who are 100 years old. A about two months ago one of the residents dropped dead during the serving of dinner. Because it was from causes unknown the body had to remain in place until the coroner released it. The staff tried to shield the residents from being grossed out by covering body with a sheet until it was removed by the coroner.
At a Residence Meeting the Director of the Home apologized and said should this happen again the staff would put up screens to shield the body BUT THEY COULD NOT MOVE IT BECAUSE OF STATE STATUTES.
Some times you just have to apologize and get on with it.
Much to their credit, the surviving residents laughed AND DID NOT RIOT. MUST BE A CULTURAL THING.
I somehow don’t have any recollection of the police chief apologizing to Bonnie & Clyde.

This smells of DOJ to high heaven. They are demanding the apology tour from everyone of the commanders there, Chief Belmar gave his with Eric Holder looking on.
