Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) on Wednesday warned that President Barack Obamas immigration policy is designed explicitly to make it easier for left-leaning illegal immigrants enter the country and stay, in the hopes that they can eventually become lawful voters who vote for Democrats.
This administration, they want to flood this country with people who either are or will become Democrats, he said in an interview with TheBlaze. They know that political calculation.
And nobody believes that if we were importing millions of future Republicans that Democrats would be for that, he added. This is a cold political calculus.
King said the Obama administration has already done irreparable damage to the nation by failing to enforce the border and sending signals that it wants to create some kind of legal status of millions of illegal immigrants already inside the country. He spoke with TheBlaze on the same day that the Wall Street Journal reported that nearly one in 10 working adults in the country have a limited proficiency with the English language.
That followed a report last week from the Census Bureau that said noncitizen income increased 15 times faster in 2013 than it did for native U.S. households. King said these sorts of statistics show that Obamas relaxed immigration policies are already having an effect.
The cumulative effect of this is going to be massive, and the numbers of people in the United States illegally are a significant concern, he said.
Another sign of the problem was the crisis at the southwestern U.S. border. King acknowledged has waned over the last few weeks as the number of detained unaccompanied children has dropped.
On Tuesday, Secretary of State John Kerry warned that the numbers could spike again. Even so, King predicted that Congress would not take up any new legislation in the lame duck session this year, given how torn Republicans and Democrats are on the issue of immigration.
I dont think anything comes up in lame duck, he said. I just dont have that sense that the political push to bring that back up again happens.
The House has passed a bill to fund expanded border operations and limit the ability of the Obama administration to ease immigration rules further, but the Senate has given no sign it will take up that bill or any related measure.
Self-serving populist leeches always vote Democrat, that’s for sure!
While true, that ship has sailed. CA has gone Dim .. forever. Whites are a minority. Even without a single other immigrant the existing demographic shift dooms us. It is only a matter of time.
And it’s working.
At least he had the courage to say it out loud.
The basis of this can all be eliminated, but eliminating the government’s ability to buy votes and pay for Progressive social engineering schemes
How is that done?
Eliminate the Federal Reserve. Imagine how limited the government would be if it simply could not print money and issue debt at will? Imagine if the Government were subject to market interest rates, not politically controlled interest rates?
Bravo.
And, poor immigrants, note the expectation: that you will not be coming with a chance at the American Dream (owning a business, working hard, making great money for your children). If their cold calculating desire for generations of handout seeking Democrats is to succeed, you must be here and stay poor. BEWARE.
>>This administration, they want to flood this country with people who either are or will become Democrats,
They’ll become Progressives. Right now, the average person thinks that only means Democrat. But the GOP is changing the game so that both parties are Progressive, and all Americans who can’t become the Progressive Elite are forced to become Plebian Progressives.
If we don’t violently rise up against the political class, they’ll sell us into slavery.
What planet did he just arrive from? We have known this for decades. In a rat world, they will vote the same day they come across the border.
What makes you think that just because King said that today, that he hasn’t said it long before??????
sheesh.
They don't call the GOP "the stupid party" for nothing.
DUH!
Bingo. The two signal accomplishments of the 0bama administration in that regard are the creation of a huge dependent class through 0bamacare and the population of it through the importation of illegal immigrants. This was not only in the pursuit of Democratic party interests but a major step in the "transformation" of America to a more progressive, i.e. socialist, society. A deliberately fostered sense of class and race oppression serves to feed the entitlement mentality and inoculate the recipients against any feelings of gratitude or allegiance to the society they're leeching off.
Steve King has been saying this for a long time. He is among the very best in Congress on immigration. He understand what needs to be done, especially reducing the legal immigration numbers drastically.
The Democrats need these thirty million illegal aliens to replace the thirty million Democrats they flushed down the toilet since 1973 (Roe V. Wade).

Its worse than that. All the hard-working people who have been kicked out of the work force, with nothing but menial low-paying jobs to replace the career they built are forced to accept the handouts to survive. Obama and the Corporatists have destroyed the work ethic to create the Progressive Utopia. The Corporatists love it because employee benefits are underwritten by the gov and then every wage-earner can become a temp worker. Republican and Democrat are just different sides of the same turd sandwich.
Those cheap, temporary, desperate workers that the illegals become are the model for the future American work force—and Wall St loves it!
This was represented in the intentions of the Constitution by the founders.
The two houses share other powers, many of which are listed in Article I, Section 8.
These include the power to declare war, coin money, raise an army and navy, regulate commerce,
establish rules of immigration and naturalization
The Constitution is "Supreme Law" and any laws passed by Any Federal or State
are to be considered null and void if they intrude on Supreme law in any way.
Yes, our Gov has been skirting the Constitution for decades and many if not most
laws created through "regulatory acts" are illegal and must be voided. EPA for instance.
Similar to Department of Education policy.
