Eric Holder To Step Down As Attorney General
NPR ^ | September 25, 2014 | Carrie Johnson

Posted on 09/25/2014 7:52:17 AM PDT by C19fan

Eric Holder Jr., the nation's first black U.S. attorney general, is preparing to announce his resignation Thursday after a tumultuous tenure marked by civil rights advances, national security threats, reforms to the criminal justice system and five and a half years of fights with Republicans in Congress.

Two sources familiar with the decision tell NPR that Holder, 63, intends to leave the Justice Department as soon as his successor is confirmed, a process that could run through 2014 and even into next year. A former U.S. government official says Holder has been increasingly "adamant" about his desire to leave soon for fear he otherwise could be locked in to stay for much of the rest of President Obama's second term.

Not sure of another Attorney General who was more corrupt than Holder.

I hope he spends his twilight years in a federal supermax prison.

When I read the headline, the first thing I checked was to see if this article was from a satire site.

It might as well have said Obama is to step down. I did not think it was possible.

What threat to bo is so great that he has to create a distraction with the ‘Holder will step down’ card.

Yahoooo, great news, but now we have to wonder who is next?
And I wonder what else will surface that implicates Holder in more trouble?

Smart move by Holder. This way he escapes blame for Obama’s pardons when he leaves. We all remember how bad Bill Clinton’s pardons were....Obama’s will 10x worse

After all the trouble and destruction this piece of dog doo doo has created he will step down and live a comfortable life with no illness or jail time. Yep sounds about right!

So, why is REALLY leaving. Usually people of Holder’s, and Obama’s ilk do not leave unless they are about to be exposed and prosecuted. My guess is complicity in at least one of the big Obama scandals -— IRS, Fast and Furious, etc.

We will probably never know.

I expect charges will still be brought against him for his illegal activities while in office.

Good riddance! Now put his behind in jail.

America’s chief law enforcement officer is as crooked as a dog’s hind leg. A jive turkey and corrupt flunky, Holder is a `do-nothing’ political hack who could only get excited about selling arms to narco-terrorists, going after states trying to protect themselves from invasion, voters trying to exercise the franchise peaceably without intimidation, and thumbing his nose at congress.
Give me a few more minutes and I’ll tell you what I really think ....

It does come on the heels of Holder claiming he doesn’t trust the cops.

Maybe he was the communications between the WH and Lois Lerner went through him. Wouldn't be surprised if he goes on an extended vacation in a foreign country immediately upon his retirement.

Now the question arises: Since most re-appointments Obama makes are worse than their predecessors, who will take Holder’s place? /S
