I know the subject is about censoring Rush and that is indeed a nasty item to learn of BUT the larger point I was making is that there is technology available that is being used to make a handful of people appear to be hundreds of people.

Read the whole article and it goes into some details about the software capabilities.

Then there is the organized troll rooms that canvas forums (incl. FR), blogs and comments sections of news websites to impersonate conservatives or spread disinformation and so on. I believe that is what you are seeing on CSPAN as well.

And who pays for this? Remember just a few weeks back how it was learned that Obama’s justice department had taken billions in settlements from banks and had given part of the proceeds to leftist community organizer groups?

This is gorilla warfare without doubt.

We would have to break the law to do the same back at them. We would have to form an underground and a means of communicating that is not detected unless we want it to be. Kind of like General George Washington who many people don’t realize was a Spy and a Master of Deceit, against his enemies.

If fighting fore with fire is the only alternative, so be it.

What you have pointed out has been true of the internet since the beginning. With slick web site presentation, one person at home can take on the presence of a large corporation, or organization. In the same sense a few busy bloggers can push conversations in lots of different areas.

The big difference I see both nationally and locally is that liberals are relentless in their pursuits and conservatives are normally not. Conservatives tend to stay on familiar or comfortable territory and maybe pass on a couple of email jokes or forward sensational stories of the day (along with hoaxes), but that's about it. Liberals, on the other hand, seem to live for politics. It drives their lives and therefore activism is what makes them whole and brings them together.

If a local issue is of serious interest a big effort may bring 10 or 20 conservatives to the court house steps. But liberals will travel thousands of miles to join a demonstration such as we are seeing in Ferguson.
