Don’t look now, but Q just released a poll showing Gillespie cutting Warner’s lead to 48%-39% in the VA Senate race (with 6% for the Liartarian).
Warner’s been showing ads about Gillespie being a lobbyist for Enron and out of touch with the people. Despite the fact that Warner is the richest man in the Senate and made his fortune as a venture capitalist (how out of touch can you be?)
Gillespie has been showing ads with Warner side by side (B & W, of course) with Obama for the entire ad which assert that Warner is a rubber stamp for Obama’s failed policies.
Unless No. VA turns out big, Gillespie has a slim chance.
It’s just tragic that McConnell slimed himself and the GOP brand in VA so badly or else he might have been in the running against Warner or possibly even as a Presidential contender.
Well, 9 points counts as a single digit.
