That seems to be a common theme in many of these attacks.

For some reason, they can’t “trigger” the attack until the target confronts them in some way,

so they attempt to provoke such a confrontation,
by hitting your car, slow walking across the street in front of you, tossing garbage, being loud, you name it - anything to provoke some sort of confrontational response, no matter how slight.

Then they attack. I guess there’s still some spark of knowledge of right and wrong in them that keeps them from just pouncing randomly, and they need that “dissing” to happen in order to justify the attack.

Again, I continue to wonder what’s worse: Inner City Holders or Muslims?

I’ve been on the receiving end of plenty of attitude & hate from one group, the others I just read about their rage & carnage.

Both groups love to embrace evil.

It is actually the way “bullies” work. When I was in high school, I was waiting for the bus and there was a cat on the mail box of the house. When the bus arrived, I pushed it off. Nothing violent. I just casually pushed it off.

I get to school and four boys approached me waiting with a group of people to get into the library. They said they saw me push the cat off the mailbox and that I was cruel. The one guy then slapped me in the side of the head so hard my face stung and my ear was ringing. I simply stared at him and said nothing. They left to my right, and I walked to my left to the principle’s office where I reported what happened. They were kicked out of school for a week.

As an adult, I ignore them unless I have a fast means of escape or am better armed. The best thing to do is to “project power”. It keeps them from making the first move. They are looking for an easy mark.

Possible.

My opinion, not that it's worth anything, is that it's about dominance and submission.

You put your head down and walk away and they "win". You call them out on their behavior, ten of them beat you to a pulp, and they "win".

You pull out a .45 and start blasting, and the MSM excoriates you for "shooting unarmed teenagers, who were minding their own business, just turning their lives around, aspiring rap artists, etc etc etc". They "win".

Though, I'd think option #3 would cut down on the number of incidents, if only through attrition.
