Yes, that's the reality. Men are visual by nature; flashing a lot of skin makes any man sit up and take notice. If the man happens to be a predator, noticing may be only the beginning.
I served on a first degree murder trial in Norfolk, VA last winter. This thug killed a sleeping (passed out)homeless man just to show his partner “how easy it is to kill somebody.” Admitted it to his mother while in the interrogation room, so it was on video. We found him guilty.
When it came to deliberating the sentence, first thing I said (I'm NOT PC) was that he should be hanging from a tree outside, but since we can't recommend execution I voted for life.
There were two ladies on the jury who didn't want it on their conscience that they sent someone away for life, so the perp got a total of 61 years.
I still believe the scum should have been hung.

Perhaps you can advise the poor to just get a college degree, and solve their problems also, it uses about the same amount of words.

I think you don’t understand that telling people to change their life and take up martial arts for a few years so that as teen girls they can walk alone, is advice that amounts to spewing hot air.
Study martial arts and 18 year old chicks taking a pistol in their little purse when they are dressed in little clothing to go out drinking and partying.
Pretty stupid advice if you think about it.
Teen girls need to know what not to do to become victims, and instructing them to adopt a lifestyle of studying hand to hand combat is unrealistic or else we would all be living the life of warrior.
It’s easy for someone to say, “you don’t like to fight? Aren’t serious about staying out of trouble at night? Well just commit to studying fighting for a few years like a Ninja.......easy words to say, why not just tell poor people to save their money, or lazy people to take up jogging.
As far as the pistol for a teen girl that likes to go out and get drunk while half dressed and partying out, how many lost pistols would she go through in a year, and drunken teen partying might not be the best situation for them all to be carrying in.

Michigan used to have such a law. But the ACLU took Michigan to court and "proved" that a guy that is standing on a corner with a sign saying anything is exercising their constitutional rights. So what happened? The bums and panhandlers are now out in force on corners in just about every town and city. In response to this a group was created not too long ago that also exercise their constitutional rights to hold up signs that shame the fake homeless people and make people think.

These people document via videos and pictures how most of these people are just lying about being in need in order to get basically tax free incomes. Every place in the country should do something similar. Our stinking government and courts have lost all perspective of what is right and wrong so it's up to individuals to stand up.
There have been several other young women who vanished and/or were murdered along the Rt 29 corridor in Virginia. They weren’t all drunk. Of course a young girl—or anybody, really—shouldn’t be getting drunk in public, but apparently you don’t have to get drunk to be killed around there.

I read this afternoon that he was observed by a patrol car, screeching his tires as he pulled away from his grandma’s (?) house and the patrol decided not to pursue him. But now they’ve decided to charge him with reckless driving? That don’t make no sense! And then they can’t find him! I pray the girl is alive somewhere and is found soon.
I vaguely recall the girl who went missing after the concert. Do you have a link to the wanted posted for that crime?
