America has always been awash in bad ideas. The Founding Fathers spoke a good game about liberty but allowed America to "REMAIN" a slave republic, because they didn't want to alienate the Southern farmers and merchants who helped bankroll and fight the war for independence against the British. Wasn't America a slave colony under british rule?
The USA was a slave country for less than 90 years, from our founding until Linclon and the civil war, but we are constantly assailed for 300 years of british rule.
