There are now robots too that are slowly replacing real journalists. It’s only a matter of time before they are all replaced.

The LA Times is already doing it.

Why not just let the White House write the stories....

During the GW Bush era, there was a press conference (either by the Pentagon or Sec. of State) where the government official (or press secretary for said official) asked something along the lines "why don't you print any positive stories about our efforts in Iraq?"

I think it was a Washington Post reporter (but I could be wrong on that) who replied, "because we aren't your propagandists."

I'll see if I can find the presser I was thinking of...
