A new poll shows likely New Mexico voters still oppose an 11-year-old state law that allows immigrants who are in the country illegally to obtain driver's licenses.

The Albuquerque Journal reports three-fourths of the likely voters surveyed opposed the law, echoing findings of similar Journal polls.

Which is funny because the PBS program “democracy now” probably sides with giving illegals docs, but if 75% don’t then isn’t the 75% the definition of DEMOCRATIC type decision????

Yep that gets me too. Responsible citizens such as ourselves have to jump through the hoops to take care of business such as this. But if you are illegal, then the powers that be decide you do not have to follow the same procedures as everyone else.

I realize that this is IMPOSSIBLE for Republican leaders to understand, but New Mexico is now at least 50% Hispanic, which means a LOT of Hispanics would prefer that ILLEGALS not be CODDLED.

Hispanics are NOTHING LIKE the monolithic voting block that blacks are (Thomas Sowell excepted) and WILL vote for EITHER PARTY if they are approached correctly and AMNESTY and OPEN BORDERS is NOT one of their demands.

Anyway, as usual, none of the stuffy shirts running the Republican Party will be able to figure that out.
