A 24-year-old Scarborough woman faces multiple charges after drugs and guns were allegedly found in luggage at JFK Airport in New York on Sunday.

Scarborough woman Nyesha McPherson, 24, was arrested at Kennedy Airport in New York Sunday after weapons and marijuana were discovered in her check-in bag.

A 24-year-old Scarborough woman faces multiple charges after drugs and guns were allegedly found in her luggage at JFK Airport in New York on Sunday.

Nyesha McPherson was allegedly carrying two .40 calibre handguns, 350 rounds of ammunition and 58 bricks of marijuana weighing a total of 15 kilograms in her checked baggage, “all artfully concealed in boxes, tubs and cans of everyday household products,” said Joseph Pentagelo, spokesperson for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police.
