Pssst. When we lived in Boca, we found that a couple of “house chameleons” usually did the trick. AND they are SOOO cute.
A chameleon somehow got inside my house about a year ago. My first thought was to kill it but I thought exactly what you did.
I got to noticing he stated in the bathroom off my bedroom. I put some water in a coaster in case he needed it. After a month or so, I noticed he was sluggish. I figured he was probably starving.
I managed to get a few flies from my bug zapper and placed them around the coaster. Sure enough, the next day they were gone. It wasn’t enough tho. A few days later he was dead.
if you let the chameleons roam the house won’t they poop all over it too?
