Judge Allows Cisco to Slither out of Responsibility for Chinese Government Human Rights Abuses

Cisco Systems, which designed a computer program enabling the Chinese government to inflict human rights abuses on members of the Falun Gong religious sect, apparently won’t be held liable for those abuses because China didn’t bring its victims to the United States to be tortured.

Cisco sold a system called “Golden Shield” to the Chinese government, touting its ability to uniquely identify members of Falun Gong and as “the only product capable of recognizing over 90% of Falun Gong pictorial information,” according to the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF).

It already is, nothing has been acted upon yet is all.

But at least cisco met its quarterly profits projections, and that’s all that matters, right?

At least that is what is foisted upon me here by the free trade, sell your grandma for a buck, outsourcing for profits at all costs financial trolls keep pushing. These are the same people who would have sold zyklon B to the reich, and financed building munitions plants in 1940’s Germany, which some US companies actually did, and the current investor crop would be all for it.

As it is, Wall St. just has to settle for financing the military buildup of communist china, hoping that they are the last ones to get an ICBM dropped on their heads.
