I will answer your question. You are “supposed to”vote for the Republican because they will depose Harry Reid as Majority Leader, they will control all committees, they may block a radical Supreme Court nominee, they will give Republicans a base in their state for the 2016 presidential election, after that they will recommend Republican federal judges in your state, they will block leftist treaties, they will investigate Beghazi, etc, and if that is not enough reality for you then you just don’t care.
A Democrat senator will do all the opposite, guaranteed. And yes you should do this even though your senator is a damn senile cowardly moderate. You almost replaced him but that will have to wait 6 more years now. All this is reality.
We are in a terrible situation..
While I will vote Republican in general elections, the only thing I hate more than a Republican is a Democrat. The Democrats will take the Virgin Mary and convince everyone she is a whore. The Republicans will be afraid to call attention to Satan’s horns. This happens every time and I hate Republicans for their stupidity and cowardice.
However I still have to vote for the idiot republican against Satan and his minions. And every so often we get a Reagan in there.
The Republican Senate will DO little in the next 2 years. But they will do some things and block others.
Unfortunately for your plan it is expected Democrats will win back the Senate in 2016. So you need to “stock up”on some republican gains now hopefully to assist a Republican president in 2016 election and beyond.
The Faces of Failure aren’t that pretty, are they? Only the American people can be fooled to nominate them.
Now, now...all they've got are their GOPe talking points! You don't expect them to have backup examples with actual facts, do you?
Now, THAT’s FUNNY !
No you really can’t possibly prove the future anymore then I can. But the constant “it’s better to elect a communist Democrat” here is insane.
I saw this in my town where Republicans smugly thought turning it over to Democrats would “teach”everyone a lesson. That was 20 years ago. The Democrats changed the demographics and Republicans barely have one rep on the town council. They are finished.
Every election.
Things will get better if we always jettison our foundations.
Oh so you are praising the Democrat now and you see honest conservative Democrats to vote for? ??
Facinating. I think half of you are Democrats.
You see #412? He took Priebus’ advice!
If you think Thad Cochran will do any of that you’re smokin’ better dope than they’ve got in Colorado.
LOL.
They’ll also pass amnesty, fail to do anything about stopping funding of Obamacare, and spend money just as fast as the dimocrats.
In fact, Cochran promised to work WITH Obama:
Listen to that call and tell me what, precisely, Cochran would ever do to oppose Obama. Regardless of who is sinate majority leader...
The people who are lacking common sense are not conservative voters, but the GOP, their leadership, the candidates, and the strategists and consultants. Obviously they don't care about winning as they claim to. They don't listen to common sense if it is repeated to them multiple times.
It is not the responsibility of the conservative voter to unite the party. It is the responsibility of the party's leadership and of the candidates. Speaking of which, I did not see any party unity lectures when Lugar lost in Indiana, or when Ken Cuccinneli was running in Virginia. Apparently the burden is on the conservative voter to "unite".
What does the GOP and its leadership offer conservatives? Other than taking a dump on them every chance they get? Maybe they need to start earning the votes for a change.
The people who obviously don't learn a thing are the GOP leadership and their schemers. They haven't learned a thing after that last few elections.
“And Cochran has supported treaties that weaken our sovereignty and threaten our national security, such as the new START treaty and Law of the Sea Treaty. Cochran also voted to confirm Obama appointee Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel who is now trying to downsize our military.”
I’ll bite.
There are two ways to increase conservative influence in the Senate Republican caucus: 1) Beat establishment candidates in the primaries, replacing them with conservatives. 2) If that fails, reduce the size of the caucus by defeating establishment candidates in the general.
The smaller caucus, minus the Quislings will greatly strengthen the conservative voting block in the senate. The establishment cannot afford for the conservative block to get any bigger, because if it does, they will be forced to listen to it. That’s why they went scorched earth in the primaries.
We’re in a pretty screwed up situation. The only way to win is for the establishment leadership to crash and burn, so a new, more conservative, senate Republican caucus can rise from the ashes with the focus and moral authority to actually affect change.
Winning with guys like McConnell, Tillis, Cochran, and Graham isn’t going to do anything but make things worse. Those type of guys had control for years and that only dug our hole deeper. It’s time to stop digging.
Hey! It's a GOPe FAX line item sent to the trolls, to be regurgitated ad nauseam here on Free Republic. Don't ask for proof!
Amen.
