You do have to hire a lawyer if an infraction turns into a felony bench warrant.

Not every one can pay $167 traffic tickets or even go to traffic school.

So, the answer would be...ignore the ticket, yes?

You’d have to hire a brain surgeon to get a brain transplant if you didn’t read the ticket that says it will escalate into a bench warrant if no appearance is made. Or, you could try to go cheaper and work on remedial reading when the parking ticket says it will AUTOMATICALLY go to a bench warrant if the fine isn’t paid or an appearance is not made.

An infraction turns into a bench warrant if the ticketee takes no action. It doesn’t do that on its own. If she is poor, she needs to go to the court and work out some kind of payment plan.

Let me know what other laws you don’t think she should have to follow that everyone else does. Perhaps...they could break into stores and take cigars or TeeVees and stuff?
