There is little one can do with respect to many oncoming calamities, but that does not mean you throw concern to the ground. You do have to prepare for what’s coming in that case.

No, Stephen Harper is not doing well. Sending the country down the abyss is something to be gravely concerned with.

Grave concern. You can say that again. Oh wait. You have, and again, and again. Time to step up and say how Harper is "Sending the country down the abyss". Clear and concise, in some detail - shouldn't take more than a paragraph or two - but with no vagueness about "oncoming calamities". Spell it out - thousands of Chinese troops airlifted into Alberta? Political assassinations? Whatever believe to be the case.

I'm leaving to go on the road for a couple of days, without computer, so take your time.

Meanwhile, here's an explanation from an An American, very different from your doom and gloom vagueness, which seems to me to fit the facts.
