One of the first questions that I ask people when trying to get to know them is where they get their news from
. and then follow it up by asking where they would never go to for the purpose of getting news (and why). Its astounding sometimes how the answer to such a few simple questions tells me just about everything I would want to know about the individual i.e. what they believe, how they think, how they will react to other comments and various situations, how they will vote, what they believe to be right and wrong
.and so on. It is basically an infallible litmus test. There are a few other quick litmus tests as well... depending on the age of the individual, just ask a few questions involving President Reagan.
She’s a conservative Republican, and doesn’t like what the Republicans have been doing to the party. Very conservative. However, sometimes she gets very busy with all of her responsibilities and just catches bits and pieces, and doesn’t seem to have time to check the story further. I think that’s what happened this time. She likes Sarah, but still thought that she had made the statement. On second thought, she does live in a very liberal college town, so if she reads the local rag from time to time, instead of digging, she’ll be misinformed.
